Built across the street from the Croce residence this mountain home is a departure from the typical contemporary designs of Freddie Croce.  Perched on a hill top gazing upon the rugged peaks of the San Juan Mountains, the structure was inspired by the Mining shaft and barrack buildings of the areas past gold and silver mining industry. Careful placement allows an unobstructed view of Pagosa Peak, the area’s most recognizable marker.  Local stone and wood were extensively used and site work was kept to  minimum.
